Remember the changes beginning this week!
Olympic Lifting Class is now three days a week, those days being Monday and Thursday at 6:30 PM and Sunday at 10:00 AM.
We are dropping the Friday 7:30PM class off the schedule. All other 7:30PM classes remain the same, it's only Fridays that are going the way of the dodo.
On Labor Day (9/3) the gym will only be open for one WOD at 9:00AM. All other classes will be cancelled, including On-Ramps.
Pictured above are the armbands of fallen soldiers. All told, 21 lobsters gave their lives to feed five folks. This is the insanity that can occur at high quality all-you-can-eat joints. The pyramid shown was completed with two bands from one lobster, shared between our Marks. As Mark G said, “Now THAT'S paleo. Two guys tearing an animal in half and handing it to each other.”
Sunday, the CFNH Adventure Club traveled to the Nordic Lodge in Rhode Island to partake in a massively awesome buffet. The Lodge is quite an awesome place, with a pretty drive out and a crapton of traffic on the way back. The eating was key, though. We had six Adventure Clubbers make the trip, as well as two non-CFNH friends along for the insanity.

If you're wondering about the logic behind an adventure to an all-you-can-eat place, there are three things you're not thinking of:
- Driving with SqWatts. In the words of Mark G. after Coney Island “How many tickets is this ride?”
- Paleo! Sure, there was an ice cream bar and a fried food section, but there was a lot of meat and seafood available. I heard a rumor that there was a salad bar there as well.
- Functional Fitness! You might think that our CrossFit training wouldn't apply to an eatathon, but I have two words for you: Grip. Strength.
The next CFNH Adventure Club Outing will be this Sunday: paddleboarding in Westport. More details to come later in the week. Ask around to get in the Facebook group and check the whiteboard on the weekend.
