Why did you want to become a CrossFit coach?
Teaching has always been my passion. Whether I am leading a Tae Kwon Do class, a music lesson, or anything else, it has always been the thing that gives me the most joy. I have always believed that if you are passionate about something then it is your duty to share that knowledge, and Crossfit is no exception. Besides that, some of the most influential people in my life have been my athletic coaches. I feel like I have the opportunity to pay it forward, the same way my coaches and teachers have done for me, and I couldn't pass up that chance to positively impact someone's life.
Favorite CrossFit Movement: Any kind of long chipper workout that is just a steady grind-- doesn't matter the movements!
Favorite part about being a coach at CrossFit New Haven:
My favorite moments are when an athlete is in the middle of a workout, clearly struggling, and I am able to give them that "3-2-1- GO" to pick up their bar or simply keep moving. To me, watching someone push themself to a limit they didn't realize they had is the most rewarding thing I could ever ask for as a coach. No matter how difficult the workout is, that athlete will always be thankful for the push at the end of class. Watching athletes push themselves like that is so motivating to me as an athlete, and makes me work harder in my personal workouts. I couldn't ask for anything better than that.
