Why did you want to become a CrossFit coach?
I started CrossFit to try something new when I got bored of running, but it quickly became more than just a workout for me. I was captivated by the science of the sport and its ability to improve fitness and health. I began learning as much as I could about CrossFit and wanted to share this knowledge and enthusiasm with the CFNH community. So, I began coaching both because I’m passionate about helping everyday athletes improve their fitness and because I need a valid excuse to spend disproportionate amounts of my time during medical school learning about CrossFit.
Favorite CrossFit Movement: Anything gymnastics: toes-to-bar, pull-ups, push-ups, handstands and all of their variations, attempting muscle ups, rope climbs
Favorite part about being a coach at CrossFit New Haven:
Constantly learning from our community! Everyone’s fitness journey is different, so having the opportunity to help athletes of all backgrounds master new skills and make progress towards their goals makes me a better coach.
