Paleo Challenge: TEAMS Announced

Whole 30 Challenge Begins this Tuesday

Participants start your engines!   There is a pretty sizable pot of cash to the lucky winning team.  Seventeen people are competing.  Some participants are family members and were kept together for positive support and encouragement.  Some of you have decided on a Whole 45 or Whole 60.  You were paired with your team leaders as such.  The entire field will compete for 30 days.  After that, the 45's & 60's are on their own with their team leaders.  

Remember to take your pictures and email them to me if you haven't already.  Selfies are fine!  Unlike past challenges, your Team Leaders ARE competing alongside with you.  Their results are going to be included with yours.   Remember to link into FB page we have set up for all communication at CFNH Nutrition and Challenge Group.  Even if you are competing, but would like to keep up with the challenge, please join the group.  If you wanted to be in the challenge, but do not see your name on the lists, please email me before Tuesday.

Rules for the Challenge:

  1. Download and print out the Stats Sheet.  Set your goals and do the workouts within the 1st week (Tuesday - Sunday).  There are three components; a strength element, a wod, and a benchmark.  You will select from the list.  At the end of 30 days (and 45 and 60) you will repeat these workouts and measure any variation in your performance.
  2. Download and print out your score sheet.  Remember, there is no cheating.  You know what is being asked of you each day and what foods you need to eat.  As such you get a point for eating clean.  You have bonus points you can achieve with sleep, fish oil, wods, etc.  CrossFit WODS are the only acceptable workouts you can post.
  3. NEW BONUS POINT.  Any participant who makes Coach Amanda's recipe of the week, will recieve a bonus point.  These will be Whole 30 approved recipes throughout the challenge.  YOU MUST  take a picture of your meal and show it to your Team Leader for approval.  It doesn't have to be on the day the recipe blog is posted, but must be within the week ending on Sunday. 
  4. There will be announced TEAM Challenges during each week of the Whole30.  Be on the look out for what may come up.  Weekly Bonus Challenges will be posted on the whiteboard next to the office.

Now, go out there and forage for your food at the markets.  It's all in the preparation.  Find the best quality of protein you can afford.  Stock your fridges up with all good fruits and veggies.  Throw out the sweetenters and let's get this going.  Avoid the pitfalls that are lurking in the pantry cabinets.  Find your team leaders on FB, email, txts.  We are here for you 24/7.  Lean on teammates for support.  Call each other to work out together.  Get together and plan out your foods.
