Lift Up Autism 2017 Event Details

in The Whiteboard by Coach Poach

This Saturday we’ll be hosting the Lift Up Autism WOD. We’ll be raising funds for the Autism Service and Resource Connecticut and performing the workout, “Luke.” The event will span all of our regularly scheduled classes and there is no change to our normal Saturday schedule, we’ll simply be doing a workout to help raise awareness about the autism spectrum, and funds to help those impacted by it right here in CT. We ask that if you plan on working out on Saturday to also bring cash or a check made out to “Autism Service and Resource Connecticut.” The workout, Luke is as follows:

5:00 AMRAP
4 Power Cleans: 155 lbs.  men/105 lbs. women
24 Double Unders
10 Pull-Ups

Scaling options include:
-- Reducing weight on the barbell
-- Jump Rope Singles (50)
-- SVPUs

We also encourage you to bring your family and friends who may be interested in trying CrossFit, or maybe hold this cause near and dear to their heart. We will have a scaled version of the workout for those who have never done CrossFit before as well:

5:00 AMRAP
12 KBS
50 Jump Rope Singles (or :30)
10 Ring Rows

As this WOD is only 5:00, we’ll be filling the class with some additional WOD games, information about the autism spectrum and more. Check out some photos below from the event back in 2015 and we hope to see you there!
